I premi più importanti della televisione americana, gli Emmy Awards 2017, verranno consegnati durante un’attesa cerimonia a Los Angeles il 17 Settembre. Nel frattempo, l’Academy of Television Arts & Sciences ha rilasciato la lista delle nomination della nuova edizione. La cerimonia sarà condotta da Stephen Colbert.
Emmy Awards 2017: “Westworld” domina le nomination
Tra le serie TV che hanno ottenuto più riconoscimenti quest’anno c’è senza dubbio “Westworld” di HBO con un cast stellare e ispirato all’omonimo film del 1973. Una grande new entry di quest’anno è “The Handmaid’s Tale“, dramma dispotico con un’eccellente Elizabeth Moss, che ha guadagnato immediatamente applausi dalla critica. Non manca neanche Netflix con le sue serie di punta, da “House of Cards” a “Stranger Things“.

Emmy Awards 2017: i grandi snobbati
Come ogni anno, insieme a coloro che ottengono una candidatura, c’è una serie o un attore meritevole che non riesce a farcela. Quest’anno è dovere segnalare performance come quelle di Freddie Highmore nell’ultima stagione di “Bates Motel”, o quella di Ed Harris in “Westworld”. Tra le numerose nomination della serie, infatti, quella di Harris è proprio l’unica non ricevuta dalla serie. E ancora, sorprende che non ci sia neppure una nomination agli Emmy Awards 2017 – anche nelle categorie minori, per il drammatico “13 Reasons Why”.
